Puerto blest

Located 25 kms. west of the city of Bariloche is Puerto pañuelo. Here we board a catamaran that sails west through an arm of Nahuel Huapi Lake called Brazo Blest. On the way we pass Sentinel Island where the remains of Perito Moreno are buried. He is distinguished as having been the creator of the Argentine National Park system.

After an hour of sailing we reach the Puerto Cantaros, where in an almost jungle environment through the Selva Valdiviana forest we climb on a stepped path to Cantaros Lake which feeds the waterfall of the same name. From some places along the route we can watch in amazement as sheets of water slide over the rocks.

After returning to the boat we cross to Puerto Blest on the opposite shore where we have lunch before returning to the city after a visiting the beautiful home of Argentina’s National Parks.
